Wildebeest? Dunk Your Head!

Last night as the boys were getting ready to get ready for bed, they were still a little hyper and started holding a little impromptu "WWE Raw In The Toyroom" action. Mostly they just jump all over me and call it "wrestling". It all started when I lay down and Liam decided it was great fun to jump on me. Logan used to do that too, it was only a matter of time before Liam figured it out. It was eventually time to go upstairs, which was met with whining, and for some reason I told Logan that he could stay up for one more minute "if he could knock me over".

Where do I come up with these ideas? I have no clue.

Anyway, he and Liam took turns crashing into me, to little effect. It helps to outweigh them by at least 140lbs. Finally, Logan took a new tactic - he lowered his head and shouted "WILDEBEEST!" as he charged me. I don't know what was different, but it worked. I toppled and Jill cracked up.

Liam, not to be outdone, had me stand back up, then lowered his head just like Logan and charged - but with his own unique battle cry: "DUNK YOUR HEAD!!"

He knocked me over too.

Liam's getting big on counting lately, and I've actually seen him correctly count as high as eight or nine. Mostly his fingers move slower than his counting and he's counted to 5 or 6 before he's pointed to the third item. At least he's trying. One night a few days ago he was reading "Ten Little Ladybugs". When we got to the last page he started counting all the ladybugs and got really excited.

"One, two, three, four, fivesixseveneight NINETENELEVENTWELVE THIRTEENFOURTEENFIFTEENSIXTEEN!!!"

I asked him how many ladybugs there were.

He looked back down at the page for a moment.

"Five."
