In Which the Parents Have the Last Laugh

A couple of weeks ago Logan's Scout pack put on a little Rain Gutter Regatta for a couple of the dens - sort of like a Pinewood Derby, but with boats and far, far less involved. There isn't much to do with a balsa wood boat other than paint it, but Logan went all out on the spy boat theme and named his vessel the "Sneaky Shadow". I thought it turned out pretty well.

The Regatta consists of the boys blowing their boats down a couple of 8 foot sections of rain gutter filled with water. The one rule is that you're not allowed to touch your boat at all, and the one rule lasted all of about 2 seconds. But, it's not really much of a serious race, more for fun, so nobody really minded.

Logan won his first race, but was just edged out in the second one. Which I'm not all that sure he was upset about, as he was able to get back to kickball.

As for the parents getting the last laugh, well...what do you do with a couple of gutters full of water? I think the rest of the photos make that pretty clear.
